Dig Right In!

The other day at Grandma's house, Brock was getting a little impatient waiting for his lunch, so to distract him Grandma thought she'd let him play with an apple. Well.... when lunch was ready he didn't want me to take away that apple. He had already started chomping down on it and was actually eating it! It was quite interesting trying to get bites of food down him between bites of that apple.

11 months

It's hard to believe that in less than a month my little boy will be one year old! I can't believe how fast time flies! I can remember everything about the day he was born very vividly, maybe that's why it's so hard to think it was almost a year ago. His walking is getting quite good, he can actually power walk. He's very fast sometimes. His hair in the back is getting a little long, but you can't really tell since it curls up. In the bath though it looks like he has a mullet. He can even sing E-I-E-I-O with one of his toys. I went to the Dr. the other day and he was sitting in his stroller being as cute as ever and he started singing. The nurse was like, that sounds like E-I-E-I-O. I was like, Oh my goodness, it is! Other people can actually tell, not just my mommy ears! So proud.

Do I Really Need to Explain???

Here are just a few photos of why you cannot leave a 10 month old unsupervised...

On Halloween, he decided he better see if he could fit inside the bar stool. He got a little nervous when he wanted to get out.

Any guesses on what that unknown substance is around his little mouth???? If you guessed lint from the dryer give yourself a good pat on the back! I leave him alone while I do e-mail, he gets into paint. I bring him in here with me while I do e-mail and he gets in the garbage and eats dryer lint. Seriously, what am I going to do when there are two of them?????

A Harding Homecoming

This past weekend, Brock and I went down to Searcy with my mom and dad to see Aunt Ashley for Harding's Homecoming. We had a great time while we were there and got to see some familiar faces. Uncle Dustin and Stacy got to come down and we got to meet their little maltese poodle, Barley. She was so cute. Plus, I got to see Cori and Jason and their sweet girl, Rylee. I can't believe how grown up she's gotten since April when I saw her last! It was so good to see them, except it just made me miss them and Texas that much more. We went to see the football game where HU beat the Wonderboys of AR Tech. Then we had a little birthday party for me with cake and ice cream...YUM. That night, Mom, Dad, Ashley, and her friend Rachel, and I went to the musical, The Wizard of Oz. It was really good! Their special effects seem to get better and better every year! Uncle Dustin got stuck with babysitting duty, which was an adventure. It was such a great weekend! Brock has to be the BEST little traveler ever. The drive was far, but he was such a trooper. He didn't fuss once! How blessed am I?

Happy Halloween!

Brock spent his first Halloween as a little kangroo. We had both sets of grandparents over for dinner and to help us pass out candy. Who wouldn't want to spend time with the cutest little kangroo in the world? I think Buddy liked Brock's costume seeing as he kept trying to eat Brock's baby kangroo in his pouch.

10 Months Old

Brock is 10 months old and WALKING! It seems recently he has done so many new things. He's got 4 teeth up top and 4 on bottom. He is starting to dislike baby food more and more everyday. He's all about the grown-up food! I just can't believe how much he can get into. You have to keep your eye on that boy all the time! I went to check my e-mail the other day and while I was doing that, he managed to get into his room and find the paint that TJ had been using and was just having the best time splashing all around in it like it was finger paint. It's amazing he didn't eat it! It was all over his NEW outfit and let's just say the carpet didn't fare well at all. TJ & I's arms hurt from scrubbing. People say we should have taken pictures, but at the time, that was the LAST thing on our minds! It will definetly be a fond memory though! Plus we still have the yellow tinged carpet as a constant reminder.

Let's Give the Boy a Hand

Brock has discovered how to clap his hands! It was so funny to watch him figure it out. He was just sitting there playing with Buddy's ball when all of a sudden he just started clapping his hands. He thought it was hilarious! It's TJ actually making the clapping sound in the background, but by golly, he's got it! We're so proud. Just click play!

The Great Pumpkin Patch

Brock got to visit a very cool pumpkin patch this weekend with Grandma, Aunt Ashley, and her friend, Rachel. We went to the Great Pumpkin Patch in Arthur. Come to find out it has been featured in Martha Stewart's Living Magazine. It was amazing! Brock had a good time as we pulled him around in his little red wagon. He enjoyed getting down and checking out all the scenery. I betcha next year he'll LOVE it even more when he can actually walk around and check things out first hand. We took home a few "fairy tale" pumpkins as they are called. TJ thought they were fake. Now if I can just keep our pesky squirrels away from them we'll be all good.

My Baby's 9 Months Old!!!

Where have the months gone????? TJ & I were just talking last night about how fast time has seemed to past now that we have a baby in our lives. I was so sad the other day looking at some clothes I had purchased for Brock at this huge consignment sale. I was shopping for 12-18 months clothes and as I looked at the label, instead of reading infant, it said TODDLER! Ahhhh!!! I only have 3 more months till he's an official toddler! He has 2 teeth almost in on the bottom and four coming in on the top. If you look closely you can see his two top teeth in one of the pictures. He is a huge Cheerio and goldfish fan and will eat just about anything, including dog food. He definitely loves his mama as I can hardly fix dinner without him tugging at my legs. Now that I'm wearing more stretchy pants I have to be super careful that he doesn't pull my pants down! He really is the best baby ever and TJ and I are so very blessed.

Rub a Dub-Dub

I think Brock is just about to out grow his little blue bathtub. He is starting to become a real squirmer and just captivated by the shower head that he has to be grabbing at it. With what little hair he has, I gave him a little mohawk the other night. He's so stinkin' cute!

Two Proud Papas

Brock got to meet a new friend a couple of weeks ago. TJ's good friend, Bryan, and his wife just had a baby girl, Kendall. Bryan already had her sporting her Illini attire for the first Illinois football game. She is so precious!

There's a NEW Food Group

***BREAKING NEWS*** Toilet paper is now a food in the food pyramid! Brock has discovered how to unravel the TP in the bathroom. This is his 3rd bathroom adventure. First he was caught playing in the toilet *GROSS* and then he had unraveled the toilet paper once before, but this time, he thought he ought to try it out for himself. I swear, he puts everything in his mouth! You just can't let him out of your sight.

Brock's 8 Months Old

My little Brock is now 8 months old and a complete ham whenever you get a camera in front of his face. My camera is just not quick enough to catch the cutest little grin you'll ever see, so by the time my camera actually clicks, I get "Mr. Snarly Face." Here are some funny ones, although I actually did catch one cute grin!

Buddy Junior

My little Brockster is an EATER! He is now taking after Buddy whenever he sees anyone putting anything edible into their mouth. It's almost a race to see who can get their first and be the first one to get a taste of whatever it is you're eating. Without fail, every first bite gets a wrinkled up little face, but then keep it coming!

Guess the Sex

TJ & I went to the Dr. today for my sonogram..........and.........IT'S A GIRL!!!!!!!!!!! I can hardly believe it!!! I was seriously set on it being a little boy! I am soooooooooooo excited!!!!! I kept looking for that little penis, but she pointed out the little girl parts to us. I have a photo of them, too, but I'm not putting it on here...it's private. No, I'm just kidding! It just looks like a bunch of nothing to me, but I trust the sonogram lady to know what "girl parts" look like. You are getting the first glimpses of Baby Girl Schlittler. How precious is she????????

Sweet Aunt Ashley

Brock has definetly enjoyed spending some quality time with his Aunt Ashley this summer. He just lights up when he sees her! We'll miss her now that she's on her way back to Harding this weekend, but I guess that means we're going to have to keep this blog a little better updated. My goodness, where did the summer go?????? (I warned you he was a cheeseball)

Brock & Buddy - BFF's

Buddy is the best little dog, he is so good with Brock! Anytime Buddy is playing with his rope or ball, TJ & I will try to get it away from him and he will just not give it up. When Brock's around though, he'll just drop the ball right in front of Brock for him to play with, it's so cute. Now that Brock is more mobile, he's pulling up onto the couch, where Buddy likes to rest, and has just started bugging the tar out of Buddy. Buddy just gets up and leaves. He knows when enough is enough! Now if we could just get Brock to stop putting Buddy's bones and rope toy in his mouth we'd be all good!

Mr. Cheese-Ball

Brock has started making the funniest face! He squints his eyes and just gets this big ol' grin on his face. Just recently he started doing it when he saw the camera. What can I say, he's Mr. Photogenic.

A New Adventure

Well, TJ, Brock, Buddy, & I are all moved into our new home in Tuscola....FINALLY!!! I will have to post photos soon of our new home when I get some taken. We are moved in, but yet we still have a garage full of boxes that still need to be gone through. I have stuffed every crevice in that house with things that I don't know what I'm going to do with the stuff still out in the garage! How in the world did we acquire soooooooooo much stuff?!?!?! TJ likes saying that it is all mine, but oh, I don't think so! Our door is always open so come see us in Tuscola!! If we aren't appealing enough, don't forget about the outlet mall right down the road!

Brock's New Pal

Brock got to meet Bub & Lisa's little boy, Corbin, back in July. He's a doll and such a good mix of his mommy and his daddy. Brock loves other babies, let's hope he feels the same in January!
