Ring Around the Rosey

Brock and Jillian love doing Ring Around the Rosey...actually I think Brock LOVES it, Jillian just follows along.

Can You Spell Ornery? J-I-L-L-I-A-N

This girl, oh goodness, she is a stinker. I can't imagine who taught her her latest tricks...

Brock's Busted Lip

Well, we've survived our first late night trip to the ER. Hopefully it isn't a sign of times to come with this little man who is definitely ALL boy. While taking a bath on Monday night, Brock decided to do a little too much splashing. The water was draining and he was still splashing. So much so that his little arms slipped out from under him and he did a face plant on the bottom of the tub. His bottom teeth went through his upper lip and it was pretty bad. After being examined by the Dr., he decided that stitches were going to be the best route due to how low the cut was to his lip. They put some numbing stuff on his upper lip and we waited and waited and waited. Finally they came to do the stitches, and Brock would not have it. He screamed bloody murder and after finally getting one stitch in, which was the closest one to his lip, they decided they'd just glue the rest. So, after getting some penicillin to prevent an infection since he had cuts inside his lip, too, we finally made it home at 2 am. It was a long night! He's doing great though. We keep a band-aid on his lip so he won't pick at the glue. We go Saturday to get the stitch out and then we are going to hope some Mederma will help with any scarring. He's one tough cookie.

How Can You Not LOVE This Cheese-Ball???

Brock thought it would be fun to try out Dacey's stroller while we were over at Kindi & Danny's house. Then he had to have his "helmet" on, of course! He is so stinkin' funny. I told him to say cheese, so I guess this is his new cheese face. Don't ya just love the squinty eyes? Oh, my...I don't think I could love this sweet boy anymore.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

No pinches for these two St. Patrick's Day Cutie Pies!

Playin' At Dacey's

We went to Aunt Kindi & Uncle Danny's house for dinner tonight! Yummy tacos were on the menu. Brock & Jillian love playing with baby Dacey and any chance to play with new toys is always fun! Dacey is now six months old and such a cutie bug! It won't be long now and she'll be running around with Brock & Jillian.

Finally...Warm Weather!!!

Brock & Jillian finally got to play outside yesterday! Not for that long since it was almost dinner time, and trust me, it wasn't a pretty site when it was time to come inside, but they loved every minute of it. Bring on Spring!!!

We Just Want To Be Outside!!!

Brock & Jillian love looking out the window behind my recliner in the living room. Tonight the neighbor boys were playing outside so of course Brock & Jillian were fascinated and had their little faces and noses pressed up against the glass. You could just see it in Brock's eyes that he longed to be out there playing, too. I think they wanted to play outside so badly that they thought they could head bang their way out. I have no idea why my kids think head banging is the answer. With Brock I thought it was just a boy thing, but now with Jillian I'm completely dumbfounded. It's really annoying. When Jillian gets mad at Brock, that is how she gets back at him, by butting her head into him. Here's a little video of them banging on the glass. TJ tells them to stop and then you can't really hear it, but he says, "You know they can break that glass." And then that's when I say, they can? and start laughing because he didn't know I was taping. Hopefully we'll be outside playing soon!

Little Book Worms

This morning while I was making the kids breakfast, Brock and Jillian decided to pull all the cushions off the couch and read some books. (I'm sure it was more Brock's decision than Jillian's.) Jillian has some SERIOUS bedhead and SERIOUS boogers and a snotty nose, but Brock was actually smiling so I had to post them. They LOVE books. They were being so sweet with each other, too. Just precious.

Sticker Mania

Moi and Papaw got Brock a Cars activity book filled with stickers for his surgery. This boy has been putting stickers everywhere, such as the tv, Buddy, all over his body, and even Jillian's butt crack where he must have stuck one down her diaper. They have been put on his book and peeled off so many times there is no stick left on them, yet he still loves playing with them!

Our Tough Trooper

My little baby had to have some out-patient surgery yesterday. We had to be at the hospital at 6:15. I seriously can't remember the last time we were up that early. It was rough. Once there we waited around 30 minutes before they called us back to the prep room. He got dressed in his little hospital gown and just didn't have a clue what was about to happen to him in a little bit. Moi and Papaw were there for support and brought Brock some goodies, which kept him quite entertained while we waited. They took him back around 7:35 and they didn't give him an IV until after he was asleep. Good idea! But, after about an hour, which seemed an eternity to me, the Doctor came back and told us that everything went great. So, after waiting another 30 minutes they brought him back from recovery and we got to see him. The nurse said he woke up smiling. (That's my Brock!) He was very tired and groggy and just slept for the longest time. We finally had to start bugging him to wake up so we could go home. They wanted him to pee first, so luckily he did! He enjoyed his very first popsicle and had some animal crackers and water. After leaving the hospital we went to Culver's to get some lunch. He wasn't hungry at all and on the way there I thought he was looking a little green in the face. We got all the way through lunch, and then Brock starts throwing up in the restaurant. Poor baby! I think he started feeling better immediately. When we got home, he started playing with Jillian and watched the Cars movie twice. After a nap, you would have never guessed this little boy had ever had surgery that morning. He is so tough. I'm hoping today and the rest of his recovery go as smoothly! God was definitely watching my little baby for me!

That Silly Tub Again...

I have no idea why we spend money on toys...

Spaghetti Night

Jillian has gotten so picky lately about what she eats that it is about to drive me nuts. She'll take a few bites and then she's done. Plus, she's getting very independent and after awhile she wants to hold the fork. She gets a little crazy with it at times and I'm hoping she doesn't put the fork through her little eye one of these days!
