Weekend Get-Together

We got together with some friends this past weekend to watch the Illinois game.  Unfortunately, the poor Illini couldn't pull out a win, but it was a lot of fun getting together!  Brock and Jillian had a blast playing with Ava, Kendall, Maddox, and Payton.  New toys are always so much more fun than the toys at home!

Jamie's Surprise Birthday Dinner

We went to Sean's daddy's surprise party last night at Alexander's Steakhouse.  YUM.  I can't believe I'd never been there before!  TJ cooked our steaks and did an awesome job.  It was so stinkin' good.  Jamie was surprised and it is always so nice getting together with friends.  Thanks to Jenn for snapping these cute shots of my little stinkers.

My New Baby

www.pirates-n-princesses.blogspot.com

So, I've begun working on a new blog designed to show off all of my party ideas. It's still a work in progress, but I'm looking forward to doing it! I've even created my own button!!! I'm so proud of myself, because that basically took me ALL day to figure out. So, hopefully on the website where you can copy the code to my blog, it will actually work and then when I get it going, you can add it to your favorites! Check it out and if you have any party ideas, please share!

I-L-L.........I-N-I!

We went tailgating at the Illini game this weekend with a group of our church friends. The kids were all decked out in their orange and blue and even had a little "I" painted on their face. Brock was non-stop from the time we got there until the time we left so I have no shots of him since he was go-go-go! There were so many tailgaters there and so many kids there playing, Brock tried making some new friends who were playing some football. He just busted right in and started tackling kids. They looked at him like, "Who in the world are you?" They didn't want to leave they were having such a good time! Good food, good friends, good times! It was a GREAT day.

Who Needs A Lift??

The kids have figured out a new way to ride their little red radio flyer...who knew it's been a two-seater all this time!!! Jillian hops on the back and Brock just drives her around, but when Brock wants a ride, they don't get far. In fact, they don't go anyhere! It's so funny watching them go for rides!

Happy 1st Birthday, Dacey Jo!!

We helped Dacey, my niece, celebrate her first birthday this weekend. It was a lot of fun and everything turned out super cute in all the pink and brown polka dots! Brock and Jillian played from the time they got there, till the time they left. I think Brock only took one break in order to have an enormous cupcake! Dacey looked so sweet in her little tutu! She loved her cupcake. She devoured that thing!!! Such a sweet girl and such a blessing to our family!!

Little Fisherman

We went to a party for TJ's mom's work the other night and Brock got to try out fishing with Daddy for the first time! He LOVED it!! TJ even caught about 5 fish, not with the Spider-Man pole, though. Brock and Jillian both thought it was pretty neat to touch the fish.

Little Miss Pig-Tails

Jillian's hair is finally getting long enough for pig-tails! I love it!

Schlittler Family Birthday Gathering

We got together to celebrate Mike and Rachel's August birthdays this past weekend. Those parties are usually pretty entertaining...(as you can see here)

Children's Discovery Museum

Last weekend we took the kids up to Normal to the Children's Discovery Museum. They had a lot of fun exploring and checking everything out. They played in the grocery store, filled their baskets with goodies, baked some cookies and cupcakes, and Brock checked them all out at the check-out. They played in the water, with the train set, "drove" a combine, and colored a picture. BUT- their favorite part was by far the painting on the glass. Jillian did NOT want to wear her smock, so she almost didn't get to do it, but they loved it, and let's just say it wasn't pretty when it was time to move on!!
