I'm having lots of fun experimenting with this new website! Enjoy!
OK-so I'm sure all of you are wondering, why on Earth would Heather have a picture of Oprah on her babies' blog???? Well, that's because mom and I went to see her show today up in Chicago and were lucky enough to actually sit up on the stage, just feet away from Oprah and Maria Shriver, her guest today! The whole experiece was surreal to say the least. Soooooooo exciting! We were taken to the green room, had our make-up touched up by professionals, and got to sit on these cubes up on the stage. It was very cool! So, set your VCR's, DVR's, TiVo, whatever you have, for April 16th, because that is when the show airs! I'm wearing a bright pink sweater accompanied by some frizzy hair since it just had to rain. Mom's sitting next to me in a denim jacket and green sweater. What a day! We couldn't bring anything in with us, so unfortunately I have no pictures of me and Oprah together. Darn. And we didn't get anything free, but I think sitting up on the stage at her show and getting a copy of Maria's book, which we had to read prior to the show, was gift enough. Plus I got to spend such an amazing experience with my mom. Priceless.

We went and took Brock's 16 month & Jillian's 3 month pictures this afternoon. I must say it was much easier when it was just Brock. Trying to narrow down pictures is not easy! Especially when you have a toddler wanting to check out the entire studio! He almost got in another family's picture. It was crazy. Next time, I'll know not to wear such warm clothing because I was about a sweatin'. They both did really good though and are such cutie pies!

We went to the Dr's yesterday for Brock's 15 month visit and Jillian's 2 month. They did really well, although it was crazy talking to the Dr about one baby when the other one is screaming and trying my best to pay attention to what she was saying. Thankfully Grandma came and helped out! Brock weighed 25lbs which is in the 64 percentile and was 32 in. tall which was in the 83 percentile. So we've got a tall, growing boy! Jillian was 11 pounds and in the 54 percentile and 22 in. long putting her in the 32 percentile. So, she's growing, too! They both had shots and did great! I had read in a Parenting magazine about giving babies sugar water before their shots to help with the pain. I did some online research, too. So, I thought I'd give it a shot. I made my own little concoction of sugar water and put it in a dropper. I gave it to Jillian right before the nurse came in for the shots, so about 5 minutes prior to her shots. Brock got his first and I didn't give him any because I had read on one site that it is effective for babies up to 6 months. He cried of course and was still a little teary eyed while Jillian got hers. But after Jillian got her shots she cried for a very short amount of time. I was amazed. I think next time I'll try it on Brock, too, just to see if it would help him. Amazing what a little sugar will do!

Isn't he so sweet, giving her a little smooch on the cheek???????
Hmmmmm.....she looks pretty neat from this angle......
Oh WOW! This thing stretches!! Let me at that bow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (make sure to notice TJ's hand getting in there a tad late, that baby boy is fast, let me tell ya!)
GOT IT! Jillian didn't even know what hit her! I think we are in for some FUN times with the two of them!
Poor girl.
Brock was lucky enough to get a few goodies, too! Moie got him this cute back-pack/harness. He couldn't quite figure out what was behind his head as he kept moving his head back and forth feeling that head of the puppy. It was hilarious watching him run around with that thing on.
