Guess the Sex

TJ & I went to the Dr. today for my sonogram..........and.........IT'S A GIRL!!!!!!!!!!! I can hardly believe it!!! I was seriously set on it being a little boy! I am soooooooooooo excited!!!!! I kept looking for that little penis, but she pointed out the little girl parts to us. I have a photo of them, too, but I'm not putting it on here...it's private. No, I'm just kidding! It just looks like a bunch of nothing to me, but I trust the sonogram lady to know what "girl parts" look like. You are getting the first glimpses of Baby Girl Schlittler. How precious is she????????

Sweet Aunt Ashley

Brock has definetly enjoyed spending some quality time with his Aunt Ashley this summer. He just lights up when he sees her! We'll miss her now that she's on her way back to Harding this weekend, but I guess that means we're going to have to keep this blog a little better updated. My goodness, where did the summer go?????? (I warned you he was a cheeseball)

Brock & Buddy - BFF's

Buddy is the best little dog, he is so good with Brock! Anytime Buddy is playing with his rope or ball, TJ & I will try to get it away from him and he will just not give it up. When Brock's around though, he'll just drop the ball right in front of Brock for him to play with, it's so cute. Now that Brock is more mobile, he's pulling up onto the couch, where Buddy likes to rest, and has just started bugging the tar out of Buddy. Buddy just gets up and leaves. He knows when enough is enough! Now if we could just get Brock to stop putting Buddy's bones and rope toy in his mouth we'd be all good!

Mr. Cheese-Ball

Brock has started making the funniest face! He squints his eyes and just gets this big ol' grin on his face. Just recently he started doing it when he saw the camera. What can I say, he's Mr. Photogenic.

A New Adventure

Well, TJ, Brock, Buddy, & I are all moved into our new home in Tuscola....FINALLY!!! I will have to post photos soon of our new home when I get some taken. We are moved in, but yet we still have a garage full of boxes that still need to be gone through. I have stuffed every crevice in that house with things that I don't know what I'm going to do with the stuff still out in the garage! How in the world did we acquire soooooooooo much stuff?!?!?! TJ likes saying that it is all mine, but oh, I don't think so! Our door is always open so come see us in Tuscola!! If we aren't appealing enough, don't forget about the outlet mall right down the road!

Brock's New Pal

Brock got to meet Bub & Lisa's little boy, Corbin, back in July. He's a doll and such a good mix of his mommy and his daddy. Brock loves other babies, let's hope he feels the same in January!

Kindi's Wedding Album

The photographer finally has Kindi's pictures posted on the web. The web address is http://www.mcgownphotography.photoreflect.com/
At the top of the screen it will say recent events and click on Danny and Kindi. I think the one of Brock is on page 5. It's number 72. It's cute!

World's Cutest Ring Bearer

This weekend, 7-7-07, TJ's sister, Kindi, got married. Everything was just beautiful! But, Brock was definetly the CUTEST thing ever!! I got him a little tux off of ebay. He was just Mr. Handsome. It was such a long day for him and he didn't get his much needed afternoon nap, until of course it was time to walk down the aisle. They had this little wagon all decked out for him and I sat his little bebe pod seat in it for him to sit in so he wouldn't topple over and out. Well, just as soon as it was time for the parents and grandparents to be seated, Brock falls asleep! I started in on panic mode. What am I going to do with this kid? So, I couldn't hold him any longer, it was my turn to make the trip down the aisle, so I just stuck him in the seat, he cried for like 5 seconds, then just started sucking his thumb and slumped over in the seat passed out. It was hilarious! So, I go down the aisle....all the other girls come down the aisle, and then you see Danny's brother, Ryan, coming down the aisle pulling the wagon, followed by extreme laughter. Being up at the front we couldn't see what was so funny, but we knew it was Brock. The laughter was like "the wave" at a baseball game as he got closer and closer to the front of the auditorium. Sure enough, Brock was still passed out asleep, slumped over in his seat. This last picture really doesn't do it justice on how funny it was, so hopefully when the photographer gets the pictures posted online, I'll put his link on my blog so you can see all the pictures. We had the best time, and everything was wonderful. Brock has a new UNCLE!!!!

Here he is asleep. Sooooooooooooooooooo funny!!!! (If you try clicking on the picture, you can see it a little better.)

NO MORE PEAS!!!

Well, we've been experimenting with the different veggies out there, and Brock has decided that he is NOT a green bean or a peas fan. We started off with some sweet potatoes, which he just downed. So, I thought that this food business was going to be a breeze....oh, I couldn't have been more wrong! He won't even look at me when I've got green beans or peas on a spoon. He is a fan of some oatmeal with bananas mixed in and we even tried some juice which he liked. Let's hope the peas go over a little better tomorrow.

Brock Makes History

Brock is a 5th generation baby on TJ's mom's side of the family and a 4th generation boy on the Schlittler side of the family.

An Apple a Day

Brock thinks that he's ready to eat apples. I think we need to work on teeth first, though!

And Baby Makes FOUR???

Well, what do you know??? Generic Wal-Green's pregnancy tests are accurate! It has been confirmed, Brock is going to be a big brother in January. I finally went to the Dr. this past Monday and had my little exam. Everything was going pretty well until we went to listen for the heartbeat. The nurse was having a hard time finding it and it seemed like an eternity while I was just laying there freaking out. In my mind I was just sure that this was my punishment for secretly hoping that when I actually did get to the Dr. that they would tell me the tests had been wrong, I really wasn't pregnant. But, as I was laying there, listening to the sound of just my stomach, no heartbeat, freaking out, we heard it! It was brief, but THERE. She said she had heard it kick a few times, too. She pointed one kick out to me, so that was nice to hear, too. The nurse said it must be a girl as stubborn as it was in letting us hear the heartbeat, but my money is on it being a boy. Any takers????

Remote Control Baby

Brock is taking after his Daddy....always has to be in control of the remote control.

Brock's First Taste of Rice Cereal

Here is Brock BEFORE trying cereal for the first time. We were just testing out the high chair. And here he is AFTER. Cereal wasn't a big hit with him.

I LOVE UNCLE DUSTIN!

Uncle Dustin came to visit this past week and Brock got to spend some quality time with his favorite uncle. They are best buddies!

Memorial Day Weekend

This past weekend we spent Memorial Day with Aunt Susan & Uncle Joe at their beautiful (huge) home in Peru, Indiana. The weather was trying to be cruddy, but the sun came out just long enough Monday for Brock to have his very first swimming experience. Joe made sure to have the pool heated for us so that Brock would enjoy it. He enjoyed it for about 10 minutes, then he'd had enough. I think it took me longer to slather him up with sunscreen than he was actually in the water. It was so fun and a great weekend! I must say though that I'm about "deered" out as we had deer burgers one night, deer roast the next, and deer brauts on Monday. I betcha anything that sausage we had on Monday for breakfast was deer, even though Aunt Susan said it wasn't. Am I right, Aunt Susan????

I am SOOOO Big!

Brock is growing like a stinkin' weed! I think we skipped 3 month clothes. He enjoys standing up and the Doctor said he has great trunk control. Who knows...maybe he really will be walking by 7 months!? Oh, and don't you just love the chunky little legs?

Mr. Personality

Brock has started getting such a personality lately. Last night TJ & I had him upstairs in his swing and I found a Wal-Mart bag on the floor. I was just moving the bag up and down and Brock just thought it was the funniest thing ever! TJ & I had never heard him laugh so much, so hard. It was the best sound in the world. I love how his little face lights up when he sees me or TJ. Yesterday when I dropped him off at the babysitter's, when she came around the corner he just gave her the biggest smile. It made me feel so good to know that he likes her! I just felt really comfortable leaving him that day knowing that he was going to be well taken care of and loved. However....it will be so sweet when school is out and I can spend everyday with him!

My Little Thumb-Sucker Baby

Brock has found his fingers! He especially loves sucking his thumb! I guess he's going to take after his mommy.

Spring Sing at Harding

Brock and I drove to Searcy with Dustin and Stacy in her car. It was Brock's first LONG car trip and he slept for most of it. We were about 40 miles from Searcy when he decided that he'd had enough of the car seat. He did about the same thing in the car with mom and dad on the drive from Searcy to Gifford. We got about 30 minutes from home and he'd had enough. I was really surprised at how good he did though. Although I must say I don't want to be in a car again for that long of a haul with an infant in tow. Spring Sing was so fun! Ashley's club did a "School" theme and they got 2nd place. It was fun spending time there in Searcy with all the fam including Granny and Granddad, but boy was it COLD!

Hippity-Hoppity

Brock got to visit the Easter bunny while we were in Texas for Spring Break. We went one day to see him, but Mr. Easter Bunny was taking a forever long break so we said, "Forget it." I tried again the next day and we still had to wait a bit but it was all good. As we were waiting in line Brock was being so good. Wouldn't you know though, as soon as we are the next people in line Brock decides to get fussy. He did really well though. He wasn't scared or anything. He just sat there. He wouldn't crack a smile for anything!!

Spring Break

For Spring Break TJ, Brock, and I flew down to Texas to visit all of our Texan friends. Our trip started off with a bang as we missed our flight out of Chicago. We even got a hotel room up in Chicago so we'd be ON TIME, and what do you know??? Our shuttle was late and the line to check in was soooooooooooooo long!!! Luckily the Southwest lady was super nice and re-routed us through Kansas City...yeah, there were only 12 other people on the flight. I guess not too many people want to spring break it to Kansas City. To make a super long story short, Brock did really well on the flights. He did end up with the worst case of diaper rash though considering we couldn't check the diaper rash cream since it wasn't in a 3 oz. container. He was a hurtin'! But we finally made it to DFW and wouldn't you know...our luggage got checked on what was supposed to be an earlier flight to Dallas though somehow we beat it there and had to wait over 30 minutes for our bags. Then on top of that they cancelled our rental car reservation since we were so late and we ended up having to get an SUV and paying an extra $40 some dollars. Can we say "grouchy" by the time we got situated??? But we had the BEST time. My only complaint....it just wasn't long enough!

Time to Get Back on the Blogger-Track

It's Been Way Too Long...

You know it's been a long time since your last post when you've sat here for about 15 minutes trying to type in your user name and password with NO LUCK. I finally got it figured out, went to write it down so next time it would be much easier and less of a hassle...wouldn't you know...I pushed the back button to make sure I was writing down the right username and password and I had already forgotten the password AGAIN!!! AHHH!!! Talk about frustration! Well, I guess it's about obvious that I've been back to work, considering my last post was Valentine's Day. Soooooooooooooooooooo much has happened since then. We've been on Spring Break to Texas and Easter in Searcy. We've turned 4 months old. We've been drooling all over the stinkin' place and have even been rolling all over! It won't be long and I just know he'll be a crawlin'! So, fingers crossed I'll be keeping this blog updated a little more often. It's just so hard making time now that I'm back to work, which by the way, is just a barrel of fun....
