Brock's Preschool Open House

 Brock was cracking me up.  He was basically the only one swaying to the song.  I was beginning to think he needed to go to the restroom!

 Little Jilly Bean waiting for the program to get started.

 He was so excited to show off his classroom!

Jillian was LOVING it, too!
This girl is READY for preschool!

Tonight Brock had his Open House program up at preschool.  We weren't really given a whole lot of information about it prior to tonight, besides to bring some cookies, but then again maybe Brock was supposed to fill us in and didn't.  But anyways, totally should have changed his clothes like I had planned on doing, but then didn't.  He did rock his Illini shirt covered in fire prevention stickers and his lovely jeans with a big old hole in the knee, though!  They sang a few songs and then he got to show us around his classroom.  He did a GREAT job and I was one proud mama... fire prevention tattoo and all.

The Great Pumpkin Patch 2011

 {Taking after her Uncle Dustin...}

I'm so thankful that we were able to continue our annual visit to the Great Pumpkin Patch in Arthur this year!  The weather this weekend was absolutely gorgeous and it was a perfect day for picking out a pumpkin.  This pumpkin patch is amazing.  I can't imagine the countless hours that go into making this place ready for visitors.  They seem to mix it up every year and it never disappoints!

Stout Family Reunion '11

WOW!  I can't believe it's been 5 weeks since I last posted!  This new part time working gig has sucked up a lot of my time and energy these last few weeks!  And I wish I could say that the kiddos have adjusted well to me working now, but I'm not so sure that would be telling the truth.  Or maybe it's just the age they're at right now... hmmmm.... not sure.  But a few weeks back we made a trip down to southern Illinois for TJ's family reunion.  It was a quick trip, but great getting to visit with TJ's family and especially his grandma, Mopsey, and her lovely friend, Charlene, who had us over for breakfast.  I can't wait to share her over-night french toast recipe with you soon on my other blog, which you've probably noticed has been MIA for awhile, too! In TJ news, he had his nerve removal surgery a couple weeks ago and is, Lord willing, on his way to a full recovery!  He says it feels really weird in his leg where the nerve was removed as he now has no feeling there.  I can't even imagine what that must feel like.  It's been a long year with him being off work, but we're hopeful this surgery did the trick and that he'll soon be back to normal soon!

Bowling & Putt Putt Golfing

To celebrate dry bedtime undies for 2 weeks, we had to CELEBRATE!
During our Texas visit, I picked up an idea from my friend, Jennifer, who keeps a sticker chart for her girls for keeping dry undies.  So, I took a mental note and decided to try it when we got home.  Worked like a CHARM.  They could keep their pull-ups dry, but not consistently, so I finally decided, I'm not buying any more pull-ups and it just happened that they both ran out on the same night, so it made my decision on when to start that much easier.  We cut drinks off at 9:00 and no more baths after 8:30 either.  Had to learn that one the hard way as they LoVe drinking bath water... ick.  Jillian picked bowling as her special reward and Brock picked putt putt golf.  They had so much fun! Now they want to go to Chuck E. Cheese as their next reward, so we've made a deal that they need to keep dry undies for 4 weeks and they're doing GREAT.  And here is what happens when you aren't paying attention while Brock is putting... You get whacked super hard with a golf club.  OUCH!

County Fair Time

We LOVE the fair!
What is not to love about pronto pups, french fries, and lemon shake-ups?
And you can't pass up Pre-School day at the fair where rides are super cheap!
It was so stinkin' hot this day, but you would never know it with how these kids were going from ride to ride. They had an absolute blast!
