Picture Day

Well, I took the kids to get pictures taken yesterday. I wanted to get Jillian's at 3, 6, 9, & 12 months, but we got a little behind, so I figure 3, 7, and 12 will do. I forgot how much of a work out taking pictures could be. I was exhausted afterwards and then when we went to take a look at them, I was pretty much disappointed. Jillian was NOT in the picture taking mood, she was being way too serious, and Brock, well, he was just all smiles and being pretty good until he found the radio flyer wagon they had and wanted to play. There went his good mood after TJ told him he couldn't play with it. So, here's a peek at some of the pictures. Some need editing and croping but you'll get the idea.

My Baby's 7 Months Old!!!

I can't believe that Jillian is already 7 months old! It's crazy! She's just the sweetest little thing around and I don't think we could love her anymore. She's still yet to roll over. She just has NO desire to do so. I'll leave her on the floor, but nothing. She would much rather just sit up like a big girl. She sits up for LONG periods of time, just as content as could be. We're doing better with the food. She's a banana lover. Peas and green beans, ummm, not so much. She's got one little tooth trying to poke it's way up. You can see it, but not feel it quite yet. We sleep through the night not on a consistent basis, which pretty much stinks since Brock spoiled us by sleeping through the night at like 3 months. She loves her big brother and could just watch him all day long. Thanks to Ms. April for the cute outfit and bow she's sporting in these pictures. She looked absolutely adorable, but I'm totally not biased or anything. Check out April's blog for her crafty shack link...she's a bow magician!

Ridin' in the Radio Flyer

Grandma got the grandbabies a cool two-seater radio flyer as an early Christmas present. So, of course we had to bust it out a tad early! Brock really enjoyed helping TJ put it together. He'd pick up all the wheels and first put them on one side of the wagon, just to then pick them up and transfer them to the other side of the wagon. It's amazing the tedious things that will entertain that boy! We went for a little walk around town tonight since it was so nice out and of course they both LOVED it! Jillian even sat up in it with her little seat belt on, but by the end she was pretty fascinated with the ground because she stayed hunched over quite a bit. I see several walks in the wagon in our future!

So, I'm a DORK

Well, as you may have already noticed, I figured out how to get my blog back on track. So, I'm sorry blogger help center people for my mean, frustrated letter for help.

AHHH!!!

****WARNING**** If you like the way your blog looks as it is, DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT mess with it!!!! I thought I'd look for a cute new template for my blog, as I like to change it up often, and in the process, I messed it all up! It is no longer as easy to update and change as it was before. Blogger has done some updating and now you practically have to be a computer genius at reading codes to update or add anything. I lost all my friends and trying to get those back on was a major headache. Luckily I check everyone's blogs pretty frequently, so I remembered their links, or I knew of other places, like facebook, to go and try and find the links. It's been a major ordeal. So, just a warning, be careful if you are trying to change anything on your blog, unless of course you are the computer code genius reader that I am NOT.

Boatin'

Brock and Jillian got to go on a fun boat ride Thursday night in Danville. One of my dad's clients has a pontoon boat and was nice enough to take us all out for a ride. Brock wasn't too sure about it at first. I think it was the life jacket. It looked like it was choking him, but best to be safe than sorry! Jillian slept for the first part of the ride but then woke up in time to enjoy it some. And we are soooooo glad that Uncle Dustin is in town to see us! So, we are really enjoying our time we get to spend with him!

Maybe this food business isn't so bad....

Jillian is getting better about eating these days! We're still taking it pretty slow, but we'll get there. We can't get through a feeding though without blowing some raspberries, which then proceeds to fly all over me. Good times.

Future Homecoming Queen

Her favorite thing to do these days...blow raspberries!

My Granny got Jillian this outfit and I just LOVE it! It's so stinkin' cute... (and very appropriate!)

Water Wings Boy

Brock loves to swim! We went swimming this weekend with some friends and had a fun time. Jillian wasn't too sure about it at first, but then she liked it. Brock got adventurous and decided to jump off of the diving board. I thought I'd be helpful and hold his hand while TJ would catch him. Instead of letting go of my hand when he jumped, he just about pulled me and Jillian in with him! Talk about scary! It was all I could do not to fall in!

So Happy Together

Brock with his mouth full of blueberry muffin

Brock has grown to love his little sister! And Jillian cannot take her eyes off of Brock whenever he's around. Now that Jillian can sit up by herself, they'll both just sit and play on the floor side by side together. The other day Jillian was in her baby einstein and Brock thought it would be fun to crawl underneath her. She didn't think that was too fun.

Jillian's 6 Months Old

It's hard to believe little Jillian is already half a year old! Where does the time go? I know one thing, it's going too quickly and I DON'T LIKE IT, not one single bit! She had her 6 month well baby visit today and had to get two shots. Those weren't too fun, but she did great and didn't seem to cry as long after them this time. Brock came along, too, and was such a good boy in his stroller the whole time! I couldn't believe it. Here's the latest stats on Jillian... she weighs 15.7 pounds, putting her in the 34 percentile. (She's a dinky little donut!) She was 25.5 inches long, putting her in the 35 percentile, and she has a head circumference of 43.2 putting her in the 68 percentile. I guess she has to have a big head to hold that smart brain of hers! I've been putting off trying the solids only because our life has been about hectic this summer with moving and all of that transition, plus this weekend we went out of town so it just hasn't felt like the right time to start. BUT-yesterday we finally gave oatmeal a try and boy, was she NOT a fan. She was already not too happy to begin with, then stuffing that oatmeal in her little mouth just didn't help matters any. She cried and cried, and then started gagging like crazy. I thought she was pulling a TJ...I've seen him do the same gag from having to change a poopy diaper! So, needless to say, we only got like 3 bites in. Then this morning, she woke up with this spotty rash all over her body. I just assumed it was the same thing Brock had last week, but after talking to the Dr. she didn't think it was the same thing, but possibly a reaction to the oatmeal. So, now we are not to try anything again until next week to see if she clears up. But, then I don't want to even try the oatmeal again just to see if that was the culprit of the spots, so maybe we'll just go to cereal or rice! We'll see, who knows?!?!?! She still has the watery eye and herniated belly button. Please add her to your prayer list that those heal on their own so we don't have to surgically fix either one!

Brock in the tub of bubbles

This weekend we went to Hendersonville, TN to my cousin, Andy's, wedding. It was so nice getting together with the family, who most had never met Brock or Jillian. Besides the wedding being nice, I think the highlight for Brock was the jacuzzi tub in the hotel room. We put some bubbles in there and once the jets came on, the bubbles just kept coming and coming and coming! I had to have the water just so high so that the jets could even work, which meant I then had to hop in so that Brock wouldn't drown. He loved it, though! We went to Nashville, too, and saw the Grand Ole Opry. That was pretty neat, it would have been even nicer if it hadn't been so stinkin' HOT!
