The New Button-Pusher

Why does it surprise me that I feel like I'm going through a cycle with my kids? It seems as though everything Brock did when he was younger, Jillian is doing now. The same banging her head on everything, the same climbing on my filing basket to hop up on the couch, and now the same little button pusher! She loves the remote control. She is constantly running up to the cable box and pushing every single button until something happens. She's pushed so many buttons on the box that it's frozen up twice and I've had to have Mediacom put a hit on my box so I could get the box to work so I could change the channels again! They told me how to fix it myself for future reference. And the picture of my purse randomly thrown in there...I think she thought I needed her cell phone for my next outing. She loves her cell phone and is always putting it, or her hand, or anything, up to her ear and says, "Hello!" Oh, the little stinker.

Gym Night

After being cooped up at home all week, we decided to get out and head to Rantoul for their Gym Night. TJ's mom and dad came along to play and help me supervise. They always LOVE gym night and it's so nice that they can just run around and release some of that cooped up energy. Plus, I get to visit with other adults!

My Little Valentine Sweeties

I know she looks like a little demon here, but I love it! Just one of the many faces of my sweet Jillian.

Brock and Jillian were my little valentine's this year as TJ was working in Kentucky. We're hoping he'll be home tomorrow!! But, to celebrate the holiday of love, we baked cookies and spent the evening at my mom and dad's. It was just getting too depressing sitting at home watching all the movies on Lifetime. I got both of them little treat bags and had them sitting out when they woke up. Surely suckers count as a breakfast item, right?

Same Fun...New Tub

We had to upgrade our car tub due to the increasing number of cars we have acquired. I came downstairs from changing Jillian and here's how I found him...

Super Bowl Sunday

Last Sunday for the Super Bowl we went to my parents' house to watch the game. With two toddlers I'm not sure how much football we actually watched, however Brock was decked out in his cute little football shirt ready to cheer on whoever won! I usually enjoy just watching the commercials, but that always seemed about the time Brock or Jillian was getting into something!

Here's the Brockers trying out Grandma's vibrating slippers.

Brock was practicing blowing out a candle, he's gearing up for his next birthday!

I just love these two pictures of Jillian. I look a little scary, but I just love how you can see her two top teeth coming in, she's so stinkin' ornery, just like Big Brother.

Yay!! Go team!!!

Happy Birthday, Natalie!

This weekend we got to help Natalie celebrate her very first birthday! She had a cute little cupcake theme with yummy cupcakes and super cute cupcake cookies. Brock and Jillian had a great time!

Brock's Last Little Gym

Last month was Brock's last Little Gym class for the session. He loved going and he learned lots of new things. I can now attribute his doing somersaults off the couch to Little Gym. He can do monkey jumps now, too! So talented. We'll miss going once a week since he got to burn off some cooped up energy. They had a special little medal handing out ceremony and family and friends were invited to come see all they'd learned. We're hoping to get back to Little Gym once it warms up a bit! Who knows, maybe by then sister will be able to go, too!

Goober

Oh, my goodness...what am I to do with this child of mine???? He's been in rare form today. After coming back downstairs after changing a stinky Jillian, I find him sitting in the recliner with my make-up bag. Lo and behold, the kid has figured out zippers! So, NO he is not severely bruised on his head, it's just blush. Then for lunch he had some chicken fingers and a few Cheetos. He stopped getting Cheetos when he started using them as Q-tips. Look closely, you'll see some orange crumbs! What am I going to do with this child????? Oh, and the sock in his mouth(which by the way is NOT clean)... he was pretending he was a puppy after seeing some playing on tv. Nice.

Photo Shoot Nightmare

Well, I thought since Jillian had just turned one, and Brock had just turned two, we ought to get in for another photo op. BIG mistake, HUGE. Brock was a perfect example of a photographer's nightmare. Do you think he would cooperate for even 2 minutes? Oh my goodness, no. Usually when it's time to view your photos, we are narrowing it down for a good while. Not the case this time. We had it narrowed down lickety split. He was such a booger. Jillian did pretty well. It took her a little bit to warm up, but once she did, she was great. I'm shocked I didn't have a heart palpitation with all the stress! I think next time...oh, wait, there will be no next time... I think we'll have to get Grandma set up with a picture taking station!
