Petting Zoo

What a busy, busy weekend! Today we went to Clinton to the Apple & Pork Festival. Did some major walking. I carried Jillian in the Baby Bjorn while Brock got pushed in the stroller. We didn't buy a single thing! I think this is like the 3rd or 4th craft event I've been to where we didn't buy anything except lunch. Shocking, I know. (I guess I'm saving up for Canton next month!) After we left there we headed to the mall where Brock got a hair cut. I was getting really nervous at first because he wouldn't even sit in the chair. Then the lady called for help from another stylist and sent me away and then he did fine. I guess he didn't need his Mama's help. Then we of course had to play on all the fun stuff there at the mall as a treat for being "so good" getting his hair cut. I'm hoping the stylist didn't take any big whiffs, as Brock smelled not too pleasant after sitting for a couple hours in the stroller in his shooey diaper. I did change him! I just think it may have seeped out...a tiny bit. I thought it was just sweat at the time, though. Oops. Then on the way home there was a petting zoo going on, so of course we had to stop. Brock and Daddy went for a horse ride. I wasn't sure he was going to go through with it, but he loved it. Then we got to pet some goats and other animals. They even had two tigers there...not to pet obviously, but they were pretty cool. So, now were home, bathed, it's only 7:00, but we're in pj's and ready for some Illini football!

Jillian's a Crawler!!!

Ever since Labor Day, Jillian has been on the move. I was beginning to think she'd never roll over, but once she did... LOOK OUT! The past few days she's been on the verge of a full out crawl. She'd go a little bit, rock back and forth, then plop on her behind. She would just do this over and over until she got where she wanted to be. But-- now we are full out crawling. We still take a few little plops, but I have a crawler on my hands. She's also been pulling herself up on things, too. Yesterday I caught her trying to pull herself up on the sofa. It's so exciting! Look out world!

Look who's 8 months old!

So, my little Jillian is 8 months old now. Where do the months go? She finally decided to roll over on Labor Day and now there is no stopping the girl. I know any day now she's going to take off crawling. She weighs 18 pounds now and has two bottom teeth coming in her little gums. I am pretty sure her belly button is all better, but we're still trying to get that eye cleared up. I had to take her to the Dr. on Monday because it was just so stinkin' red underneath and the Dr. called it conjuctivitis or I guess pink eye. Can you guess how fun it is putting in eye drops in this girl's eyeball? Yeah, not very fun. She's getting more hair everyday and not one single bit spoiled. I moved her back into her pack and play in our room to sleep at night and we've slept through the night ever since. Whoo Hoo!!!

Little Gym

We signed Brock up for Little Gym classes in Savoy. He LOVES it...well, most of it anyways. We're still getting used to the running in a circle and hopping in place all as a whole group. For some reason, when it's time to run all together he freaks and I end up running and hopping while holding him. But come exploration time, that boy runs like crazy flapping his little arms and his cheeks flapping in the wind. He loves the bubbles and balls. You're supposed to do all these things with the balls, like kick, and make a hoop with your arms so they can throw it in the basket... oh, no. All Brock wants to do is pick one up, throw it, repeat. He is really good about putting the balls away though, he's Mr. Helpful. So, the reason behind the Batman outfit... I got this e-mail saying it's bring a friend day and dress like your favorite superhero. So, we do...and no on else does. He looked a little out of place, but definitely the cutest one there!

Sleepy Girl

I think this is where the phrase "slept like a baby" comes from... oh, to not have a care in the world. Must be stinkin' nice.

Summer Time Fun

This summer Uncle Dustin came for a visit and we had the best time hanging out with him! Here are just some other random shots of some good ole' summer fun. Man, it goes FAST!

A New Grandbaby to Love

Here's Moie & Papaw with all the grandbabies.

Who Turned Out the Lights????

It seems that if I put Jillian's headbands on while she's in the car seat, they always manage to end up like this...

Catch up Time!

So, TJ's not been able to find his camera cord so I couldn't download pictures off of his camera, until now, so these are just some random cute pictures of the kiddos that I've been wanting to post for awhile, but now they are just getting lumped together.

Welcome to the World, Baby Dacey!

My sister-in-law, Kindi, had her baby today!! She had a baby girl and named her Dacey Jo. She was 7 pounds 10 ounces and 21 (I think) inches long. She had a head full of black wavy hair, an absolute doll baby! I'm so glad to be an auntie and now Brock and Jillian have a new baby cousin!

Bath Time Fun

Last night as I was giving Jillian her bath, Brock just didn't want to miss out on any of the fun! I swear that boy could live in the bathtub. He LOVES baths. So, we just filled the tub up with water and in he went. Jillian thought it was pretty fun and got some good giggles from her brother pouring water in her little tub. After Jillian got out, in went Brock into the little blue tub. He is so funny, my little stinker.

Say Cheese

We spent Labor Day at the Cheese Festival in Arthur. It was sooooooooo stinkin' hot so we really didn't spend a lot of time there. But, while we were there we got a free sampling of some cheese and Ritz crackers. Yummy. And we got to see probably one of the "cheesiest" circus's around! There was a clown with his super cute little lion dog and then the boy juggler came out and we were too hot to hang around and watch a boy juggle on a skateboard. You can see how red Jillian's little cheeks were. We were glad to get into the A/C!
