Brock's First Hair Cut

Well, it was an emotional day...we took Brock to get his very first hair cut today. I just kept putting off getting rid of those sweet baby curls he had there in the back, but after seeing how straggly and frizzed out it was getting, we had to finally make the appointment. Boy, was he NOT a fan of getting his hair cut! Anna up at Wave Lynx was wonderful. She's so sweet and she definitely had her hands full with Mr. Brock. He didn't like any of it, especially the squirt bottle. I don't know how Anna did it with him squirming all over the place, but it turned out real cute.
A few last BEFORE shots of my little Billy Ray Cyrus...business in the front, party in the back.

How fun does this hair cut look?????

Here are some cute AFTER shots.

Little Miss Sparkler

Just had to share a cute photo of my sweet girl. She's getting geared up for her first 4th of July!

Visiting Grandmother

We went to Paxton today to visit TJ's grandmother who is in the nursing home recuperating from a hip replacement surgery. She was thrilled to see the kiddos. Brock was fascinated with the wheel chair and was enjoying being pushed around and then pushing Papaw and then Daddy around. The people there loved seeing the kids. It was nice to bring a smile to some faces while we were there visiting.

We LOVE Monical's Pizza!

Well, folks, I have discovered a NEW type of mousse for your hair...the grease from Monical's Pizza. Brock LOVES Monical's! So much so, that after he got done eating it tonight, he just had to run his greasy fingers through his hair and just rub, rub, rub. It was sooooooooooo funny. His hair, which is in need of a major hair cut, was sticking up all over the place. He is such a little ham. On a side note, he had his 18 month well baby check up today, which by the way, I can't believe he's already a year and a half old, AHHHHH!!!!!!! But anyways, he weighed 27 pounds putting him in the 65th percentile. He was 33.5 inches long which put him in the 82nd percentile, so we're going to have a big boy on our hands I have a feeling. And, his head was 48.9 cm which puts him in the 80th percentile which means he's going to be super, super smart! He had one shot and was my little trooper. Do we have our hands full with this one or what? I just love him and his sweet, little, goofy self to bits!

Cheerio Boogers

This picture really doesn't do justice to just how funny Brock was this morning. For a snack, I usually lay some cheerios out on the ottoman for Brock to munch on in the morning. Well, his new thing is to eat the cheerios without using his hands. He'll just bend over and scoop them up with his mouth. Well, as I was giving Jillian her breathing treatment this morning, he comes over after having scooped up some cheerios and he had a cheerio sticking to each snotty nostril and then one stuck to his bottom lip. It was the funniest thing ever. If I hadn't had Jillian on my lap I would have rushed sooner to my camera. After he then proceeds to eat the cheerios that had been in snot, he went and did it again, this time even more cheerios sticking to his face. Since I was laughing so hard he thought he was just hysterical. So, this is the best picture I could get.

Sick Baby

It seems my kiddos have been about sick for months now. I just can't seem to get them 100% healthy. First Brock was the one needing the breathing treatments from the nebulizer machine, but now Miss Jillian is needing them, too. Brock cried every time I pulled the machine out at first, but then he got used to it. Jillian on the other hand pretty much screams bloody murder every time she has it on. I've figured out that if I sing to her in her little ear while she's having a treatment she will calm down. Hopefully all this mess will pass because it's no fun having sick babies!

My Buddy, Sean

A couple of weeks ago we got together with some friends from church. Jenn & Jamie have a little boy a couple months older than Brock named Sean. Brock loves playing at Sean's house! Sean also taught him how to be a big boy and eat with his own spoon and fork. That's Brock's big thing now! He's getting so grown up!

Happy Girl

I've got a Mama's girl.

My Little Lineman

TJ's work had a picnic today for their members. Since Mom & Dad are members, we all got to go today. TJ was working the little lineman pole where kids could gear up and get their picture taken on a pole. We tried to get Brock to do it, but I think he'll like it better next year. On the other hand, he LOVED the bounce house. Jillian enjoyed it too, from her stroller.

Deer in the Headlights

Ok, so I know these aren't the most flattering pictures of my sweet Jillian, but as I was going through some of my pictures, I couldn't help but laugh when I saw these. So...I thought ya all might get a good giggle out of them, too.

My Tootin' Princess

I must start by saying....I AM SOOOOO SICK OF STINKIN' SEVERE WEATHER!!!!!!!! We had crappy weather ALL week this past week! They said on the news that we are half way through tornado season and already we've had more warnings than all of last season. What's up with that??!!! And not having a basement or some place safe to go really makes me nervous, especially since every time it's bad out, TJ's out on call which leaves me home with two babies and Buddy. I'm lucky I have nice neighbors who let us stay with them in their basement. But anyways, with all this bad weather and flooding, TJ got called out yesterday morning to work, and then him and some other guys he works with had to go down to Paris, IL to help them out because they had it worse than us. So, I now have a deeper appreciation for single mothers! We survived yesterday and we even made it to church this morning. I just wanted to see if I could handle going by myself, and everything went SUPER. As soon as we got there, the nursery was already open and taking babies, so in goes the Brockster. Jillian was still asleep from the car ride, not the entire car ride, considering once I exited the interstate I had to hop out and plug back in the pacifier. Then she was out. So, she did great for me in church...with the few exceptions of the toots she let! And of course it couldn't be during any songs, oh no! She tooted during communion and then again during the sermon. It seemed as though each toot got louder, too! My whole row was cracking up, then after church, this older lady who was sitting behind us, tells me she thinks we need to get this girl some Bean-o. I was like oh, my goodness, you could hear her? And she was like, oh yes! How embarrassing!!!! She takes after her father... And I totally love how it looks like she's already giving her mama attitude in this picture up top!

What's New With Us, You Ask?

Well, folks, it's going to be yet another summer of MOVING! The weekend before Memorial Day, we went down to Harrisburg and when we got home the lady on the corner of our block, who is selling her house by owner, was having an open house. I've always thought it was a cute house, she has it decorated really cute on the outside, so I wanted to see what it was like inside. Well, we go over and check it out, and although it was a cute house, it wouldn't have worked for us, so we just got to visiting with the owner and telling her how eventually we are going to be needing a bigger house because we are just so cramped right now as it is with the four of us in a two bedroom house. She says, "Oh I know the perfect lady who would be interested in your house!" So, she gives us this lady's phone number and tells us we should call her. Well, LONG story short and two days of MASSIVE cleaning, we call her, she does a drive-by to see if she would even be interested, sure enough, she was! She came and checked it out, TWICE, had it inspected, and made us an offer! We accepted, got a GREAT deal, and now must be out by the 30th. We picked the 30th just to avoid another mortgage payment, but now where are we going to live you ask??? Oh, that is a great question, one I'll have to get back to you on! So, good-bye little house... This picture really doesn't do it justice, but I just realized I'd never shared pictures of where we've lived....for not even a full year!

Sweet Baby Girl

I guess lately Brock has been the blog-hog, so I figured I best get some cute shots of Jillian posted. I can't believe she's going to be 5 months old next week! WOW! How time flies! She's growing like a little weed. We haven't rolled over yet, but she's getting there. I don't think it will be much longer. She LOVES putting things in her mouth, as you can see her fist practically fits inside her mouth. She really is the best baby. We have slept through the night before, but last night she slept in her bed until 7:00 am and then I put her paci back in her mouth and she slept until 8:30! I couldn't believe it! She cracks up quite often at her big brother. He was running around last night chasing Buddy, and she just thought it was hysterical. I can't wait until they can play nicely together! (or maybe I can...)

We are SOOO Mean

After church today we headed over to the Olive Garden for lunch. Whenever we get lemons with our meals or drinks, Brock is like a hawk spotting them. He loves sucking on them even though they make his little face twitch. TJ caught it on video today at lunch so here's a little 80 second clip of Brock tasting a lemon. Aren't we mean parents???

Car Seat Time

Oh, what a difference a week makes! Here's Brock in his car seat last Sunday and then just this afternoon. In the sleeping picture he was sitting out in the car with TJ while I was in Walgreens waiting on his prescription. The next one is of the little cheese-ball on our way to Kayla and Chris' birthday party. I'm thinking he's feeling back to his ole' ornery self!
