Should've Bet On It!

Well, what do you know? Tomorrow is St. Patrick's Day and guess who woke up with a fever yesterday and today? Little Brockers. What is it about holidays that makes Brock decide he needs to get sick? He has a temp, runny nose, and cough. All I can say is that he best not get us sick since we leave Friday for Searcy! I've been washing my hands like crazy! I'm shooting for a sick-free kiddo on Easter! Anyways, I already had Jillian all ready for church looking super cute, as always, and after we had just got done laughing at Brock for letting a little toot, Jillian would not be upstaged. She one ups him by pooping all up her back. Good thing we aren't going to church this morning, we would have been late anyways with having a wardrobe change. I had such plans for today, too! We were going to go see the Easter Bunny and run some errands. Hopefully her dress and cardigan aren't ruined and we can try again later this week. Let's hope tonight we'll be feeling better! This is the face you make when you have poo all up your back and mom has a camera in your face... just in case you were wondering!

Just Like Her Brother

Little Miss Jillian has found her THUMB! She must want to take after her big brother. I guess I'll have to get her a blankie now, too!

The Next Computer Genius

Brock likes to "get on the computer" when I'm trying to get some laundry done. I had pushed in the chair to dissuade him from messing with the computer, and instead he moves the chair and proceeds to hop right up on it and push every single button on the keypad. He can make the mouse work, too, as he was already using Microsoft Word somehow. And now, as I'm sitting here updating his blog, he has managed to empty out my dirty clothes basket and prop himself right inside the basket.

Sweet Big Brother....or maybe NOT!

How sweet did Miss Jillian look today for church?! She's 8 weeks old now and growing like a weed. She's making some cooing noises and even gives us a few smiles now and then. Pretty much though our days are still spent snoozing, eating, and pooping. But we just LOVE our big brother...Isn't he so sweet, giving her a little smooch on the cheek??????? Hmmmmm.....she looks pretty neat from this angle......Oh WOW! This thing stretches!! Let me at that bow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (make sure to notice TJ's hand getting in there a tad late, that baby boy is fast, let me tell ya!)GOT IT! Jillian didn't even know what hit her! I think we are in for some FUN times with the two of them!Poor girl.

Jillian's Shower

A couple of weeks ago the ladies at church threw me a shower for Jillian. She was a doll baby! Here's how she spent the WHOLE shower! Completely passed out!Brock was lucky enough to get a few goodies, too! Moie got him this cute back-pack/harness. He couldn't quite figure out what was behind his head as he kept moving his head back and forth feeling that head of the puppy. It was hilarious watching him run around with that thing on.

Golf Anyone?

My Dad thought it would be funny to put this lovely hat on Brock. He left it on, oh, for about 30 seconds.

Little Blankie Baby

Brock is still my little thumb-sucker. If you could see his thumb right now, you'd be thinking, OH MY GOODNESS, that looks SORE! It is so red and chapped it isn't even funny! He also loves his red Little Giraffe blanket and has to have it around all day. It goes with him everywhere. I can say, Brock, go get your blankie, and he knows exactly what I'm talking about. He looks around and when he finds it he brings it to me and just wants to be a little cuddle-bug. He just rubs on that silky part of the blanket and sucks his thumb. It used to be just when he was tired, but he seems to be doing it a lot more lately.

It's Play Time!

I'm so lucky that little Brockers can entertain himself! He loves emptying out his toy basket, throwing the toys out, not a care as to where they may land, and then playing inside the basket. We had to move this basket away from Jillian's swing because he has such an arm on him they just go flying when he is trying to find just the right toy. As you can see he has a few too many toys! Let me count in this picture how many toys Mommy and Daddy bought for him...ummmmmmm......yeah, that would be NONE.

He even enjoys sitting in the basket when the toys are still INSIDE the basket (which is a rare occasion) !

6 Weeks & 14 Months

Well, I think Brock has managed to get sick and then everyone else sick on every holiday starting back with Thanksgiving. He has been sick on Thanksgiving, his birthday, I think we may have actually been OK on Christmas, but then there was New Year's, and now the latest with Valentine's Day. I'm just waiting to see how he feels on St. Patrick's Day. I had both babies cute little heart day outfits and then we were all laid up in bed that we didn't even make it out of our jammies. So, these pictures of Jillian are of her in her heart day outfit, just a little late. And here is Mr. Brockers looking as sweet and innocent as always.

4 Weeks Old

It's hard to believe Jillian is now 4 weeks old! Time is flying by me so quickly these days!

Mr. Stinker Butt - Part 2

No, folks, this isn't the Wicked Witch of the West's child hit by a flying couch... it's just my little Brockers trying to retreive a toy from under the couch. He was much farther under there, but by the time I ran and got my camera he had already squirmed out a little bit. He did manage to get out by himself, but he was starting to get a little nervous that he was stuck!
And here he is looking out the window like he'd like to escape the indoors, which we've been in ALL week. He has NO FEAR at all, whatsoever. He's climbed up on the chair and is standing on the arm. Dangerous.

Mr. Cool

Brock has finally mastered his 4-Wheeler! He can make it go all by himself. Now, we just need to work on the steering. He'll run it into things and just keep pressing the button. He just waits, thumb down on the button, until we come and move him in a different direction. He's already worn the battery out a few times! But, here he is, Mr. Cool, with his shades and cell phone. He cracks me up.

Mr. Stinker Butt

Here is the view I have of Jillian as she sleeps in my Baby Bjorn. She's so stinkin' precious... It's a good thing she's pretty easy to handle right now because this is Mr. Helpful Around the House. He helps Mommy vacuum. (Can't put that milk down!)
And then he also helps Mommy while she does dishes. I don't think I could ask for better help!

My Little Angels

These are for Aunt Ashley...as requested.

My Little Cookie Monster

I gave Brock an Oreo the other day....I don't think I even need to tell you that he LOVED it. Just check out his face and hand! Look above his ear, too. Yep, that's Oreo in his hair! What a mess!

Keeping Entertained

Here's just a few photos of how Brock entertained himself at the hospital. He loves pushing anything with wheels, so off he went with Jillian's crib, and no she wasn't in it! He enjoyed being pushed around in the wheelchair, too.

The Princess Has Arrived!

Baby Jillian Brooke Schlittler
7 pounds 7 ounces
19 inches long
Check out all that hair!

Baby Jillian has arrived! She decided to come a little early, but boy was I ready for her to get here! Thursday and Friday I was having lots of braxton hicks contractions and was just down right uncomfortable so I was really ready for her to make her debut. Saturday morning TJ & I headed to the hospital and got there a little before 9:00 am. I was already at a 7, so I was getting pretty nervous that they weren't going to give me the epidural. I was having some back pain, not like with Brock though, so I feel I handled it all a little better this time around. But, wouldn't you know...that darn epidural man would have to keep me waiting for what seemed an eternity! My wonderful nurse, who just happened to be the same nurse that helped deliver Brock, paged him twice and then eventually tried to call and find him. Bless her heart, she was wonderful. I honestly thought he wasn't going to come and that I was going to have to have her drug-free. (Which I know many a gal has done before, just not the option I wanted for myself.) Anyways, since I tested positive for this Group B Strep I had to have two bags of antibiotics in my system before giving birth, so as not to transfer it to her. Well, just as soon as that 2nd bag was in, my nurse checked me out and was like, oh, goodness, there's her head. Jillian was ready to come out! The nurse went out and came back with the Dr. I was thinking in my head, oh my, why is the Dr. here already? I haven't even pushed one time yet. I knew they usually didn't bring the Dr. in until that baby was ready to be out, so I just went with the flow and 2 contractions later with a few pushes, out she came! I'm telling you, it wasn't even 5 minutes and the girl was out. So much easier than the 2 hours of pushing with Brock! Don't get any bright ideas....I'm so not doing that again. I have my happy little family of four plus a dog, so I'm D-O-N-E! Enjoy the pictures of our newest edition. She's already a heart breaker!

A Roberts Family Christmas

Well, what would a Roberts Family Christmas be without a little drama? I feel like we are the Grizwold's sometimes. This year's Christmas was quite eventful. TJ, Brock, and I spent Christmas morning at our house. Brock opened his presents from Santa and then we spent the afternoon at TJ's grandparent's. After that, we went to my parents' and had Christmas dinner followed by opening up presents. Here comes the drama... Aunt Ashley got Brock this really neat Lego dump wagon with lots of lego blocks. Well, mom wanted him to be able to pull it around and since it was zip-tied she asked my dad to use a pocket knife to cut it off. Long story short, my dad ended up getting the zip-tie undone, in the mean time also cutting my mom's leg. She probably could have used a few stitches, but she's a trooper. Of course it had to happen on like the 3rd gift being openend so we really started off with a bang. It was just nuts.
The Roberts Gang - Granddad, Grandma, Aunt Ashley, Uncle Dustin, TJ, me, and Brock Brock got a bath basketball game. He thought it was fun putting the basketballs in his mouth. It was so funny!
The dreaded dump wagon...
Uncle Dustin and Brock
The day after Christmas we went to my Aunt Susan's house in Indiana to see my other grandparents and cousins. We got to see our new cousin, Lily. She was precious.
