Splashin' at the Park

Outside the zoo was a really nice park that had some water toys that the kids could splash and run through. All over the water area was NO RUNNING posted. Try telling that to the Brockers. That's all he did! Run, run, run! I was just waiting for him to bust it, but thank goodness, he never did! Jillian didn't really go for the spraying water, but she enjoyed swinging and running around the water area.

Miller Park Zoo

We're really taking advantage of TJ having Friday's off, so we took the kids to the zoo! It was a small zoo, but I think they liked it better than the Indy Zoo. They could see the animals better and it wasn't crowded, and best of all, it wasn't HOT! Plus, they got to pet a hedge hog!

Family Fun Day at Church

After church today they had a family fun day picnic. There was a bounce house for the kids to bounce around in and a sand volleyball game that TJ enjoyed. Jillian has become an old pro now with the bounce houses! She did really well. Brock of course was still a bouncin' fool! They also had a little sprinkler set up and then after that they set up a slip-n-slide. Brock thought he'd try it out. I have a little video here of him on his first try. He has a nice little wipe out! He did it three times total. The last time he just walked across it to me, he had had enough. It was a lot of fun playing and hanging out with our church family!

Tolono Fun Days

This weekend was Tolono's Fun Days. We went up to the parade in the morning and I must say that it was a lot easier this year with the kids than last year. Brock actually waited for them to the throw the candy before running out into the middle of the road. It was fun, but golly, it was HOT! After the parade we stopped by the park for some bounce house fun. Jillian actually did some bouncing with TJ and we could barely get Brock off the slide!

Last Night of VBS

Friday was the last night of our church's VBS over the life of Moses. I actually think Brock "got it." Every baby now at the house is baby Moses. Then today in the parking lot, a lady in the car next to us had a wrap on her head and Brock says, "Look Mama, Moses!" I was like, "Oh, yeah, that looks like Moses." So funny. They put on a little program of the songs they learned during the week. Of course in Brock's class of 2 and 3 year olds, they just stood there and looked precious while everyone else sang. It was so cute when they first took the stage, Brock's new buddy, Eli, gave him a great big hug and then they held hands through their whole performance! And, as a bonus, my parents and sister stopped by to see Brock "sing" his songs and before going home we all had cookies and ice cream! Yum, yum!

VBS - The Life of Moses

We started VBS tonight and it's over the life of Moses. Brock did really well and even got his picture taken with Moses! Hopefully I'll have more cute photo ops this week.

All-American Girl

My little All-American Sweetheart showing off her patriotic bikini, which was about to fall off her little bottom, and also sporting her little pony tail! Brock had to get in on the picture taking action with giving her a little hug. So sweet.

Yum, Yum, Yummy!

Swimmin' in the Kiddie Pool

Well, even though it wasn't all that hot outside, I decided to take the kids out and let them play in the kiddie pool. Brock hopped right in and Jillian just kind of stood there for a bit, not knowing what to think. I dropped her in and the girl stood there for the longest time. It was like she didn't know what to do or where to go. Luckily Moi bought them some pool toys so those kept them pretty entertained. Jillian figured out she could get in and out easily so she'd stand for awhile and then hop out. Brock figured out he could lean on the side of the pool and water would gush out. It was very full from the rain last night! I see many more fun days spent in the kiddie pool, that is if they don't put a hole in it first!

Eastern Illini's Family Night

Last night we went to Paxton for TJ's work's family night. TJ was there working and in charge of the bucket truck rides. Jillian got to go up but Brock was too fascinated with the bounce houses to want to go up with Dada. I think Jillian was a bit nervous at first going up, but she did great. The bounce house they had was an obstacle course where there were a few walls that you had to climb over. Brock was determined to get over the walls, with mama's help of course! I think I got more of a work-out than I've done in a long time! I forced Jillian in the other bounce house and she liked playing and jumping on the part just before you go in, but Brock was a jumping fool. The food was yummy and Brock even had an ice cream cone that he figured he'd better just eat the bottom part first, so as you can imagine, we had an ice cream mess all over his hand. I think we may go back again tonight since tonight is for the members which my parents are, I guess I'm a glutton for punishment.

Little Mommy & Dada

*Kiss*Kiss*

My Granny brought Brock & Jillian some goodies when she was here for Ashley's graduation. The baby doll carrier has been a hit. We went for a walk last night and Brock wanted to be sure to bring along the baby. I had to tell him that we'd take the baby next time. They are such a good little mommy and daddy!
