Stout Family Reunion

This past weekend we went down to Harrisburg for TJ's family reunion. It was great meeting family we had never met before. The weather was beautiful and it was a fun day!

Curtis Orchard

Friday we took the kids for a visit to the Curtis Orchard. It was rather hot, but still lots of fun! They had a little play area for the kids and some goats you could feed. I think they loved the tractor and apple donut the best! I think my favorite was the apple donut, too, but also the white peaches we bought and took home! Yum!

We went over to our friends, Jamie & Jenn's, house the other day for a little bon voyage party for our friends, Will & Amy, and their little girl, Natalie. Brock & Jillian had the best time playing with Sean and Natalie. Brock was glued to the train table! And they loved all the Handy Manny toys, too! While we were all still in the dining room, we could hear them just cracking up. I went to check on them and they were all just standing there, doing nothing but laughing. I'm not sure they even knew why they were laughing. On our way home, Brock kept saying, "Mama, Sean laugh, Brock laugh, Sissy laugh." So cute. I'm going to take a pretty safe bet they had a very good time!!!

Little Swimmer Boy

It is sooooo nice to have church friends with a pool who don't care if you come over and swim for a couple hours! Aunt Ashley and I took the kids to swim the other day. It was supposed to be warm, and all it was was cloudy. The water was a bit chilly for me and Jillian, but Aunt Ashley and Brockers were little fish! He loves swimming with the life jacket on and even got adventurous and jumped off the diving board to Aunt Ashley. So brave, that boy of mine! Jillian on the other hand, may just be my Miss Priss. She didn't do well with the chilly water and just kind of whined the whole time. She did like helping clean out some bugs with the net though! And wouldn't you know it, as soon as we get ready to leave, out pops Mr. Sun!!! We had fun though, anyways!

Circus

Last night we went to the circus with some of our friends. It was really, really good! Brock and Jillian both were captivated during a lot of the show. I would have to say the elephants and clowns were some of their favorites.

County Fair Time!

We took the kids to the Champaign County Fair this weekend for the demolition derby. I wasn't sure if the kids were going to go for the little kiddie rides, but I think you can see by the look on Brock's face that he was ALL ABOUT the rides! He loved them! It was a little dramatic when the tickets ran out, but nothing a corn dog and lemon shakeup couldn't fix. Jillian wasn't quite as adventurous on the rides, as you can kind of see the little grimace on her face on the dragon roller coaster. She had fun, though! The demo derby was awesome and very, very loud. The very last feature was by far the loudest, and even with ear plugs, Jillian wasn't a fan of the noise. You couldn't even hear her scream and cry due to the loudness. She was so not happy. We got our funnel cake before we left and it was the perfect sweet ending to our fun evening!
