Friday we had Danny, Kindi, Dacey, Moie, and Papaw over for a cook-out and Easter egg hunt. It was nice out, a little windy, but that didn't stop these three little egg hunters from having fun! I think they all had baskets over flowing with eggs when it was all said and done!
I know she looks about gooberish here, but just notice little Swiper
there behind her trying to swipe her cotton candy right out of her hand!
We got to go see Illinois take on Kent State in the NIT tournament with TJ's parents. I think the kids enjoyed the popcorn and cotton candy the best! Thank goodness the Illini pulled off a win, too bad they didn't win the game after this one! Oh, well....maybe next year!
These kids are ready for Easter to be here!!!! The baskets are out and ready for filling, a visit to the Easter Bunny has been made (which Jillian only liked from a distance, Brock liked him and sat next to him), and after tonight the eggs have been colored! They had so much fun! We only cracked one, well, maybe two, but we went ahead and colored it anyways. Brock's fingers were a mess once everything was said and done, but who cares? They had fun. (And it will wash off before Sunday, right??)
My parents, sister, and I took the kids bowling after getting their photos taken. It just happened to be Cosmic Bowling night, too! So much fun! Who knew they even made bowling shoes that little?? They put the bumper pads down so no gutter balls, and they even had a little ramp you could put your ball on and then push it off down the alley. Brock was too cool for that, though! They did really well and had an awesome time! They could have bowled all night if we had had bottomless pocketbooks!!!!
I finally decided to press my luck and take the kids to get their pictures taken. It had been quite awhile ago since the last time, so I figured, What the hey, let's give it a go! Well, they did fairly well this time compared to the last time, even with them running very far behind schedule. Next time we'll remember to bounce the ball off of Aunt Ashley and Grandma's head when we begin, instead of waiting till the end to get some cute shots!!!
It was finally nice enough out yesterday that we were able to get their birthday presents out of the basement and take them for a few spins in the backyard. They had a BLAST! I won't mention how fun it was when it was time to come inside... but anyways, Brock was an ol' pro. Jillian, well, she is really good at going in circles (but she's getting better)! They each took turns driving each other's Jeep and 4-Wheeler and shared really well. I was impressed. We got to take them out again tonight, and it looks like it's going to be nice out again tomorrow! Let's hope those batteries are recharged up and ready to go! And he just had to wear those star sunglasses, not his cool CARS sunglasses that I tried getting him to wear instead. :)
I hosted Kindi's "baby sprinkle" today. It was a lot of fun, full of lots of sweets! I don't think the scale will be friendly tomorrow morning! She got lots of nice things for the baby and I got a lot of practice with my party planning. TJ was a big help today, so props to my sweet hubby! This last photo is a snip-it of what you'll find on my party blogso click here and go check it out!!!
So, what are your kids doing at 10:00 pm?????? Sleeping and having sweet baby dreams???? Must be nice. Here's what Jillian was doing at 10 pm last night... running around after having stripped her pants off and jumping up and down with her saggy little diaper. The more she jumped, the lower it sagged. Then I'm sure you can imagine who wanted in on the action. Yep, Mr. Brockers. I had a shot of him, but thought best not to show you all his butt crack for all the world to see!
