Taking a Spin

If you guessed Brock, give yourself a big pat on the back! Brock hopped right in Mom's little carry-on bag and had the best time being rolled around the house by Aunt Ashley! He is such a goob.

Fun Times at Moie & Papaw's

TJ's mom and dad got Brock a little basketball hoop this weekend. He loved shooting hoops and running after the ball. He's actually pretty good. I think he's going to be our next Michael Jordan.

My Little Fish

TJ's mom bought Brock a little swimming pool, so we set it up Sunday afternoon so the water could be warming up. Well, he ended up sleeping all afternoon and he didn't end up getting to try it out until after dinner. His little eyes lit up when he saw it, but when I tried to put him in it he just hollered! It was still a bit cool and it took him awhile to get used to it, but after awhile he finally got the nerve to go down the slide. He was hysterical to watch. He would just suck his stomach way in and out for some reason and laugh and laugh. I don't think we've laughed that hard in a long time! He hopped in the hot tub with Uncle Danny afterwards to warm up and he really liked that! He's my little swimmer boy. I bet next year Jillian will be doing the same thing, but as for now she is just enjoying watching. She usually can't take her eyes off her brother.

Playin' at the Park

We took Brock to the park on Saturday. He loved going down and then climbing back up the slide. He especially loved the merry go round! Jillian enjoyed watching (and napping) from her stroller. If you look carefully you may notice something new with Jillian...we got her ears pierced on Saturday! She was a real trooper!

Happy 4th of July!

Brock & Jillian had quite an exciting 4th of July this year. We started off with the parade in Rantoul. Brock got tons of candy! He enjoyed throwing some of the candy back at the floats. We went to a cook out over at Aunt Kindi & Uncle Danny's house. Everything was yummy. Then we had to take a nap to get ready to stay up late for the fireworks. Brock & Jillian both loved the fireworks. I thought they might scare Jillian, but she didn't seem the least bit bothered. Brock just kept pointing up at them. He got to do some sparklers, too, with some help from Daddy. It was a fun day.

Brock's First Hair Cut

Well, it was an emotional day...we took Brock to get his very first hair cut today. I just kept putting off getting rid of those sweet baby curls he had there in the back, but after seeing how straggly and frizzed out it was getting, we had to finally make the appointment. Boy, was he NOT a fan of getting his hair cut! Anna up at Wave Lynx was wonderful. She's so sweet and she definitely had her hands full with Mr. Brock. He didn't like any of it, especially the squirt bottle. I don't know how Anna did it with him squirming all over the place, but it turned out real cute.

Visiting Grandmother

We went to Paxton today to visit TJ's grandmother who is in the nursing home recuperating from a hip replacement surgery. She was thrilled to see the kiddos. Brock was fascinated with the wheel chair and was enjoying being pushed around and then pushing Papaw and then Daddy around. The people there loved seeing the kids. It was nice to bring a smile to some faces while we were there visiting.
